Privacy policy

Last updated: 24 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how GrantPro (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the GrantPro website, the customer app, and related services in Kenya. GrantPro is a multi-vendor marketplace: you order from independent stores, and independent riders may deliver those orders.

By creating an account or placing an order, you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the services.

1. Who is responsible

GrantPro operates the platform from Nairobi, Kenya. For privacy questions or requests, email info@grantpro.asoolsoft.com.

Stores and riders are separate parties. A store handles the goods it sells. A rider handles the delivery assigned to them. Their own practices may apply in addition to this policy when they process information needed to fulfil an order.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run accounts, orders, delivery, and support.

Information you give us

  • Account details: name, mobile number, email address, and password.
  • Delivery details: addresses, landmarks, and delivery instructions.
  • Order details: items, notes to the store, and your choices at checkout.
  • Support messages you send us, including complaints and refund requests.
  • Store or rider applications: identity, contact, vehicle, and business details you submit on the join forms.

Information created by using the service

  • Order history, cancellations, ratings, and in-app messages about an order.
  • Approximate or precise location when you allow it, so we can show nearby stores, set a delivery address, and support live delivery tracking when that feature is on.
  • Device and log data: app version, device type, language, IP address, and basic diagnostics if something fails.
  • Payment status. Card or mobile-money credentials are handled by the payment method you choose at checkout. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

Information from others

  • A store or rider may confirm order status, preparation, or delivery progress.
  • A payment provider may confirm whether a payment succeeded or failed.

3. How we use information

  • Create and secure your account, and verify your phone number when required.
  • Show stores and products, take orders, calculate fees, and arrange delivery.
  • Share with the store and rider only what they need to prepare and deliver your order.
  • Process payments, refunds, and cash-on-delivery orders where those options are offered.
  • Send service messages about an order, and optional offers if you subscribe or opt in.
  • Handle support, detect fraud or misuse, and keep the platform reliable.
  • Meet legal duties, including tax, consumer, and data-protection requirements that apply in Kenya.

4. Legal grounds

We process personal data under the Data Protection Act, 2019 (Kenya). Depending on the activity, we rely on one or more of these grounds: performing the service you asked for, our legitimate interest in running a safe marketplace, your consent (for example precise location or marketing email), and compliance with a legal obligation.

You may withdraw consent for optional processing, such as marketing email, without affecting orders that are already in progress. Location permission can be turned off in your device settings; some delivery features will then be limited.

5. Who we share information with

  • Stores receive the order, your name, contact number, and delivery details needed to prepare it.
  • Riders receive pickup and drop-off details, your contact number, and order notes needed to deliver it.
  • Payment providers receive the amount and the references required to take or refund a payment.
  • Service providers who host the platform, send SMS or email, or provide maps and crash diagnostics, under instructions from us.
  • Authorities when Kenyan law requires it, or to protect users from fraud or harm.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. How long we keep it

We keep account and order records while your account is active and for as long as needed for support, disputes, accounting, and legal claims. When a record is no longer needed, we delete it or remove details that identify you.

You may ask us to close your account. We may retain a limited record where the law requires it, or where an order, payment, or complaint is still open.

7. Security

We use access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and restricted staff access to protect personal information. No online service is perfectly secure. Please use a strong password and do not share one-time codes.

8. Your rights

Subject to the Data Protection Act, 2019, you may ask us to:

  • confirm whether we hold your personal data and provide a copy;
  • correct information that is inaccurate;
  • delete information we no longer need;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • stop marketing messages.

Email info@grantpro.asoolsoft.com with the phone number on your account. We may need to confirm it is you before we act. You may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner in Kenya.

9. Children

GrantPro is not directed at children under 18. Do not create an account or place an order if you are under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Website and cookies

The public website uses necessary technical data to load pages and keep forms secure. If we add optional analytics or marketing cookies later, we will describe them here before they are used for that purpose.

11. Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will also notify you in the app or by the contact details on your account where that is practical.
